I copied this code into 2 pages, and run it. the interface comes up, and I add a file to upload. When I upload, the file
it uploads, but I see a red error bar in the upload status area, and the message area below shows me an error.
As i stated, the document uploaded, however it will only upload one at a time. Did I not install something correct when I installed CF9 developer edition? any help would be appreciated.

Dan, CF installation should not be an issue. Maybe check the log files in your ColdFusion/Logs directory and see what error you are getting. An alternative is using jQuery to build a multi-file uploader. Ray Camden has a great post on it:
